HIPRA proudly participated in the 2025 General Assembly of the European Live Poultry and Poultry Hatching Eggs Association (ELPHA), held in June in The Netherlands.

This annual event serves as a vital platform for uniting key stakeholders from across the European poultry sector. It fosters collaboration and dialogue on the most pressing challenges facing the industry today—chief among them, the need to balance competitiveness with animal welfare, health, and sustainability

This year the assembly featured high-level debates on critical topics such as trading and market access, vaccination strategies, and the implications of transport on animal welfare. Sustainability was also a central theme, with discussions focusing on how to align growing consumer demands with environmental protection and responsible production practices.

These conversations reflect the complexity and dynamism of the European poultry sector, which is both highly regulated and remarkably diverse. As the voice of the European live poultry and hatching eggs sector, ELPHA plays a crucial role in promoting animal welfare and biosecurity, advancing sustainable practices, and encouraging innovation across the industry

HIPRA’s sponsorship of the event underscores its deep respect for the mission of ELPHA and AVEC EU, as well as its unwavering commitment to supporting the future of the poultry industry through science, innovation, and collaboration.
