HIPRA organizes two HIPRA University courses on poultry coccidiosis

From 17 to 20 June, HIPRA held two HIPRA University courses on poultry coccidiosis in Amer. In total, more than 40 veterinarians from all over Europe attended the courses, to learn about the latest updates in coccidia control, broaden their knowledge on the impact of coccidiosis on intestinal health and strategies to prevent the disease through vaccination. 

The course opened with a technical-practical session on the assessment and interpretation of post-mortem injuries, conducted by Marc Pagès (R&D Senior Manager at HIPRA) and Martina Dardi (Global Franchise Manager at HIPRA).

Marta Busquet (Global Franchise Manager at HIPRA) presented the latest market trends in coccidiosis control. Luis Pantoja (Regional Technical Manager at HIPRA) explained the different vaccination techniques available and optimal post-vaccination management strategies for the prevention of poultry coccidiosis. 

Santiago de Castro (Global Product Manager at HIPRA) discussed the side effects of coccidiosis in relation to Salmonella, and its effects on fertility in breeders.

The participants also had the opportunity to attend two practical demonstrations of vaccination techniques, one via spray and the other in-ovo, by Marc Pulido (Digital Health Product Business Developer at HIPRA) and Sergio Mesa (Global Product Manager at HIPRA). 

As part of the course, attendees visited HIPRA’s production facilities, they saw firsthand how scientific knowledge translates into real-life technological application. 

The event concluded with the distribution of diplomas to the HIPRA University participants to certify their active participation in course. 

With this initiative, HIPRA reaffirms its commitment to a more sustainable and efficient poultry production. The company will continue to organize events that foster knowledge exchange, promote innovation and best practices for animal health.
