On April 9th, HIPRA TAIWAN hosted a new edition of HIPRA UNIVERSITY, bringing together academic and industry experts to spotlight the critical role of gut health in swine immunity and growth. The seminar focused on the synergy between disease prevention, nutritional strategies, and vaccination in promoting animal health and farm productivity.
Professor Hung-Chih Kuo provided an overview of common gastrointestinal diseases in pigs and highlighted how effective farm management practices can mitigate their impact. Dr. Chi-Chen Chen addressed the strategic selection of feed ingredients and the role of targeted nutrition in maintaining intestinal integrity.

The event also introduced “A Guide to Neonatal Diarrhoea”, a practical resource offering actionable strategies to improve piglet and sow health and reduce diarrhoea-related losses.
