HIPRA CHINA has launched VEPURED®, the purified recombinant Vt2e vaccine against edema disease, through a series of private sessions entitled “Gut Health Leading Highly Efficient Production”, held across several cities during April and May.
The events took place from April 22nd to May 16th, covering key cities for the business such as Chengdu, Nanjing, Nanning, and Fuzhou. In total, they gathered around 130 attendees representing over 50 companies, collectively managing nearly 4 million sows.

The seminars emphasized the importance of controlling Edema disease and Gut health, two critical factors impacting post-weaning productivity. The sessions featured renowned national and international experts, including Dr. Sjouke Van Poucke (founder of SYN+, Belgium), Dr. Zhu Liande (Vice Chairman of Beijing Zhongke Gene), Prof. Weicheng Bei (Huazhong Agricultural University), Prof. Xiaoye Wang (Guangxi University), and Prof. Daojin Yu (Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University).

In addition, several respected local experts, such as Zhichun Yan (Beijing Zhengzhun Agricultural Technology), Xiangyang Qu (Bo Weite), Zhipeng Su (Technical Director of Dekon), and Tian Xia (Fujian Yongcheng Breeding Technology), shared insights into local farming challenges and strategies as well as into the highly efficient production management in swine business.
HIPRA’s technical team, represented by Daniel Torrents (HIPRA SPAIN), introduced VEROCHECK — a convenient and reliable diagnostic tool for identifying Edema disease in the farm. He also presented the benefits and key features of the new Edema disease vaccine, VEPURED®, along with international case studies demonstrating its effectiveness.

These events showcased the growing interest in edema disease prevention and the strong reception of the new vaccine within the Chinese swine industry.
